If you are reading this post, then chances are that you have filled the SSC CGL 2017 Online Application form and Looking you would be looking whether your form is accepted on not. If this is the case, then you are on the right page, as here we will discuss on How to check the Status of your SSC CGL 2017 Application Form (Accepted / Rejected), and What to do, in case your form is Rejected.

Applicants must note that Only those, applicants who have their SSC CGL 2017 Application status is shown as "Accepted", can download their SSC CGL 2017 Admit cards and hence they can appear for the exam and Those, having their application status shown as "Rejected", they won't be able to sit in the exam.

This year, SSC had made a few Changes in the Eligibility Criteria and Exam Pattern

1) Age Limit for Group B posts is increased from 27 to 30 years

2) Exam Duration in Tier-1 Exam is reduced by 15 minutes. Now, Tier-1 Exam has a Duration of 60 minutes only.

In the coming Days, after the completion of Online Registration, SSC will release the Link for Checking the Status of your SSC CGL 2017 Online forms. Applicants can check their application status from the website of their respective region only. Registration Link will not be uploaded on the Main SSC Website (www.ssc.nic.in)

In this post, we will discuss the step by step process for Checking the Application Status of your SSC CGL 2017 forms. Moreover, it is expected that SSC will release the Admit Cards for CGL Exam from 3rd week of July 2017.

On 13th July 2017, SSC Karnataka Kerala Region released the Link for checking the Status of submitted SSC CGL 2017 Application form.

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Dates have been announced and as per the SSC CGL 2017 Notification, Tier-1 Exams are scheduled from1st August to 20th August 2017. So, those, who are looking for CGL 2017 Question Paper, can download it from 1st August, onwards. Remember, these are only tentative Dates and exact dates will be known only when the SSC CGL Admit Cards will be released. If, you face any diffculty in obtaing in the Admit Cards, then first, you should check the SSC CGL Application form status to find whether your form is accepted or not

Moreover, SSC CGL Tier-1 Exams are being held through online mode and as such there will be No Question Paper in Hardcopy format. So, it will be virtually impossible to get the Full Question Paper. Applied for CGL 2017 Exam and Looking for CGL Admit Cards? Here is the step by step process for Downloading CGL 2017 Hall Tickets without Registration Number.

If you are reading this post, then chances are you are looking for Admit Cards for SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Exam.SSC CGL 2017 Notification was announced on 16th May and since that Online registration is going. The Last Date for submitting the SSC CGL Online form was 19th June 2017.  But before, you start reading this post and know the exact process for Downloading the SSC CGL 2017 Online Admit Cards, you should keep in mind, that Only those candidates, will be issued Admit Card, who have successfully submitted their CGL 2017 Online Applications

We are saying this, because, SSC will soon release the List of Candidates, whose applications have been rejected by the Commission. Now, the Questions is Why these applications are rejected.

SSC had several reasons for rejecting the applications given as under.

1) Incomplete Applications: You have completed the Part-1 of Registration, but did not complete the Part-2 of Registration. To know, how to successfully submit the Online applications, applicants are advised to read our previous post on How to submit SSC CGL 2017 Online form 

2) Blurred Photo and Signature: SSC had mentioned some rules regarding the uploading of Scanned Photograph and Signature. Size and Dimensions are one thing, but you should make sure that your Scanned Photos are of clear vision (Like No Blur and No Redeye)

3) Your application may also get rejected If you failed to Pay the application fees. So make sure that you pay the application fees either through online mode / offline mode, before the stipulated time.

Applicants must also note that merely getting the Registration No., does not entitle you to Download the CGL Admit card and appear in the Exam. So, in case, you are unable to Download your SSC CGL 2017 Admit Card, then it can be due to any of the above-mentioned reasons.

So, the best advice is to Check your SSC CGL 2017 Application status from the respective SSC Websites. Many Regional websites will soon release the Application Status for CGL 2017 Aspirants. Moreover, If, your application status is shown as Accepted, then you easily download the SSC CGL Hall Tickets.

Pre-Requisites for Downloading the SSC Admit Cards


Before, you proceed to Download the Admit Cards, keep the following things in mind so, you won't face any difficulties at the time of downloading the Admit Cards

1) First, make sure that your CGL 2017 Application is Accepted.  Only those, candidates, who have successfully submitted their applications before the Last date, will be able to download their admit cards

2) Registration No. : With Registration No., it gets easy to download the CGL Admit cards. Registration No. is generated at the time of submitting the application form. In case, you forget the Registration No, you can obtain it from the  Email Address, and Mobile No. you submitted at the time of filling the Online CGL form.

After your submit your application for CGL Exam, SSC had sent you an Email and SMS as an acknowledgement that your Application is accepted. All you need to check the Inbox and SMS of your respective Email and Mobile No. respectively

3) Website Address: Applicants must keep this thing in mind, that Admit Cards cannot be downloaded from the Official SSC Website (www.ssc.nic.in).

Instead, you have to download the Admit Cards from the Respective SSC Regional Websites. There are 9 SSC Regional Offices in India and each Regional Office has its own website, from where you have to Download the CGL 2017 Hall Tickets.

Example: You have submitted your Application to SSC Northwestern Regions, then your Admit cards can be downloaded from the Official Website of SSC-NWR

30 Lakh registered for SSC CGL 2017 Exam


SSC CGL is considered to be India's Most Competitive test for Government Jobs and this is proved by the fact that over 30 lakh candidates have registered for this Prestigious Exam. 

The Exact No.of applications received for SSC CGL 2017 Exam is 30,26,598

Well, this is Less than the Last year's CGL Exam as in 2016 CGL Exam, a record no. of 37 lakh candidates have registered for the exam but only 36% candidates have appeared in the exam. 

As far as this years CGL Exam, it is expected that appearance percentage will improve, take into consideration, that there are some good No. of vacancies in SSC CGL 2017 Exam.

When CGL 2017 Admit Card can be Downloaded?

Knowing the Exact Schedule for Downloading of Admit cards may help you in many ways. As we all know that CGL Notification was announced on 16th May and Exams are Scheduled to start from 1st August 2017.

SSC will conduct the Exams for a period of 20 Days and each Day will have 3 shifts, so you have your CGL Exam on any given Shift on a particular Day. 

As the Tier-1 Exams are commencing from 1st August 2017 onwards, so SSC might release the Admit Cards at least 10-12 Days before the Exam Date. In 2016 CGL Exam, Admit Cards were released 12 Days before the starting Date of Exams. 

Previously when SSC conduct Offline Exams, admit cards are sent to candidates at their respective address, but now SSC only releases Online Admit cards that can be downloaded from the respective SSC Regional Websites

How to Download the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Admit Cards?


Now, you know the expected Date for Availability of Admit cards, next thing, you need to know is the Exact process for Downloading of Admit Cards

1) Open the Respective SSC Regional Website. The list of each SSC Office along with their respective websites is given above.

2) On this Homepage, you will find several links, Find the Link containing "Admit Card" OR "Download Admit Card" OR "Download Duplicate Admit Card" Or anything like that. and Click on that link

Note: When the Admit cards, will be available for download, the same will be highlighted on the Website so you can easily find it.

3) Once, you click on Admit Card Link, it will open the Admit Card Download Page, where you need to Enter Details to download your Admit Card

There are 2 ways to Download the Admit Card. First by using your Registration No and other by Using the Search Functionality

i) By Registration No. : Here, you have to enter your Registration No and Date of Birth and after that Click on "Search Status" Button. If, the Details are correct, it will display your Admit Cards. Then you can Download it and Print it.





ii) By Search Functionality: This is for those, who Forget, their Registration No. They can download their Admit Card, by entering the First Four Characters of Name, Father's Name and Date of Birth and Click "Search Status".

After that system, will search the entire Database, and match it with the entered Details, and fetch the results. containing your Admit card.

This way, you can download your Admit cards, even without Registration No.

Handling the SSC CGL Admit Card

Applicants must note that merely possessing the Admit Card does not enable you to appear in the Examination, rather you have to produce the Hard copy of the Admit Card at the time of Examination. 

Applicants must note that SSC will not allow the Digital Copy Or Soft Copy of Admit Cards.

Apart from this, you can should Carry your Aadhar Card at the time of Examination, failing which you won't be allowed to sit in the Examination.


After the exam is over, make sure your keep your Admit card with you as it is also needed in the future for Checking your Result etc.

Forget Registration No?


Registration No. is important not only for Downloading of Admit Card but is also required for further stages of CGL Exam. In case, you forget your Registration No, there are a few ways to obtain it

1) From Email: At the time of submitting the CGL Application form, there is a field, although optional, that requires you to enter your Email address. Once, you complete the Registration process, SSC sends you an Email containing this Registration No. 

So, you can Log in to your Email and retrieve the Registration No., by checking the Emails, sent by SSC 

2) From Message Inbox of your Mobile: Just like Email, SSC also sends an SSC to your Registered Mobile No. This SMS contains the Registration No. Check your previous SMS's to get the SSC CGL Registration No.


Unable to Download Admit Card. Whom to Contact?
